KATE JENKINS
Kate was called to the BC Bar in 2002 and has represented clients before regulatory boards, tribunals and BC provincial and supreme courts since that time.
Kate brings with her a wealth of experience particularly in insurance defence and personal injury law. In the past, Kate was also in-house counsel for life & disability insurer Manulife, as well as IntraWest, a resort/construction development company. Kate’s practice at this firm is focused on insurance litigation for individuals and businesses.
Born in Ottawa and then raised in Nova Scotia, Kate completed her undergraduate degree at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and received her law degree from the University of Victoria. Kate has put down roots in the Fraser Valley over the past 7 years, where she enjoys her new found love of cats, reading Nordic Noir mysteries and watching murder mysteries. She tries to stay current with music, movies and pop culture to maintain a perception of being even slightly “cool” according to her 2 young nieces and 1 young nephew.
